The concept of bankroll management had been discussed over and over again, but there are aspects of the theory that are not covered on those discussions. You may know how important and influential bankroll management can be if you place bets on a regular basis. You will also understand how betting only with the money you can afford, managing risks, and carefully setting aside winnings to stay profitable can be great bankroll management strategies and improve your overall betting experiences quite significantly. However, you may not know that bankroll management can actually be a betting strategy on its own.

Let me give you an example to help you get the idea. Each year at the beginning of a new football season, I pick matches where underdogs get amazingly high odds and place bets on them. I don’t really calculate strength and factors to the details; I simply use bankroll management to determine the right amount to bet compared to the possible winnings I might be getting. If the average odds for those underdogs are 6.00, I can simply place bets on 5 different teams. All I need to break even is at least one underdog team winning the match; believe me when I say that it can happen, quite often too.

You can see that managing your stakes and taking possible winnings into considerations can help you determine the right amount to bet with the least amount of risks involved. You may or may not pay close attention to details of the sporting events or other gambling opportunities themselves, but you are deliberately setting your bet to give you the least amount of risks possible. When used with bets that have larger winning chances — such as bets you can actually predict quite accurately — this strategy opens up lots of great money making opportunities without exposing you to added risks.
